Las ofitas de abarán estan situadas en una cantera al norte del municipio de abarán(murcia) y está rodeada de una zona muy extensa de yesos rojos y margas del triásico dondé se pueden encontrar diversas mineralizaciones de yeso,siderita,pistomesita(var.magnesita)..etc.
En las ofitas se pueden encontrar minerales como hematites,apatito,magnetita,titanita,yeso,
ilmenita,prehnita,anfiboles(actinolita en sus variedades:bisolita,amianto..)y tambien augita con
zeolitas como escolecita.Es un lugar muy interesante para la busqueda de micros.
